Decision-making Structure

Hanmi Pharmaceutical operates a comprehensive safety and health department to strengthen company-wide safety and health management and protect the health and safety of its workers. This department oversees Hanmi Pharmaceutical's industrial safety and worker protection policies, and establishes strategies and action plans for preventing serious accidents and managing safety and health risks. Hanmi Pharmaceutical also emphasizes the role and responsibility of management for thorough control and proactive prevention of safety and health risks. The CEO holds overall responsibility and authority for final decision-making on safety and health management matters, and based on this, enhances the effectiveness of safety and health policies and systematically manages risk factors across all workplaces through swift decision-making. In particular, Hanmi Pharmaceutical conducts company-wide environmental, safety, and health decision-making centered around the hEHS Committee, and the comprehensive safety and health department reports the safety and health management plan to the CEO once every half year. Furthermore, by reporting company-wide safety and health activity details to the Board of Directors once a year, the company reviews its overall safety and health system and promotes continuous improvement. In addition, Hanmi Pharmaceutical sets and operates KPIs related to safety and health to prevent industrial accidents in all workplaces, and plans to expand its performance-linked compensation system in the future to strive for more practical industrial accident prevention.

Based on the results of its IRO analysis, Hanmi Pharmaceutical identifies key risks and opportunities that could significantly impact stakeholder interests and sustainability related to strengthening occupational safety and health in the workplace, and is continuously striving to develop effective response plans based on these findings.

Company-wide Occupational Health and Safety System Operation Structure

Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001)

Hanmi Pharmaceutical, Hanmi Fine Chemical, and Beijing Hanmi Pharmaceutical maintain ISO 45001 certification for all employees and contractors (100%) across all business sites, thereby operating an international-level occupational health and safety management system.

Operation of Occupational Health and Safety Online System

To enhance the efficiency and on-site applicability of occupational health and safety management, Hanmi Pharmaceutical has independently developed and operated a field-customized occupational health and safety online system since 2021. The Hanmi Pharmaceutical occupational health and safety online system is designed to manage overall safety and health operations, including safety inspections and risk assessments, as well as the safety and health regulations and policies of each business site. In particular, it is equipped with mobile connectivity, significantly improving accessibility for working departments. This strengthens the efficiency of occupational health and safety tasks and allows for efficient and systematic management by real-time monitoring of safety and health activities across all business sites. In 2025, to strengthen risk assessment, the KRAS methodology was applied to the online management system, improving employee accessibility and work convenience. The effectiveness of risk assessment was further enhanced by linking Job Safety Analysis (JSA) risk assessments when issuing safety work permits. In 2026, a new incident and accident monitoring function will be introduced to systematically manage accident history and strengthen the management foundation for continuous high-risk factor-focused prevention activities by linking accumulated accident cases with risk assessments.

Business Continuity Management System (ISO 22301)

Since 2019, Hanmi Pharmaceutical has been operating with company-wide ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management System) certification, a first in the Korean pharmaceutical industry. We systematically conduct emergency drills and proactively prevent risks through regular statutory inspections and internal occupational health and safety checks in preparation for fires. Furthermore, an early response system linking automatic fire detection systems with real-time CCTV monitoring has been established to enable quick and safe evacuation in the event of a crisis.

Systematized Management of Chemical Material Safety Data

In accordance with amendments to the Industrial Safety and Health Act, Hanmi Pharmaceutical has secured 100% of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemical substances and manages them systematically. We conduct pre-reviews and strict change management when introducing new chemical substances and continuously manage the latest information through the K-REACH online system. Furthermore, we have introduced a system to prevent false entries in MSDS by partner companies and have mandated accurate information provision through a partner company pledge.

Self-Regulatory Prevention System

Hanmi Pharmaceutical has implemented and operates a self-regulatory prevention system in accordance with the Ministry of Employment and Labor's self-regulatory prevention policy. The self-regulatory prevention system is Hanmi Pharmaceutical's unique occupational health and safety management system, which involves identifying, improving, and monitoring risk factors where safety accidents are expected to occur at each business site. Hanmi Pharmaceutical conducts an annual preliminary identification of hazardous and dangerous factors for each business site and derives management targets by comprehensively analyzing existing risk assessment results, internal accident cases, and high-risk factors for industrial accidents. The identified risk factors are reflected in regular safety audits conducted in the first and second halves of the year (audits by external specialized agencies and headquarters-led safety audits) and are thoroughly inspected. Based on the inspection results, necessary improvements are prioritized and acted upon. We also identify potential risks that may arise during work through safety culture awareness surveys targeting employees and promote follow-up measures such as strengthening education and improving procedures. Furthermore, Hanmi Pharmaceutical systematically manages assessment results and improvement implementation status through an integrated risk assessment management system based on its proprietary online system. We also guarantee all workers the right to stop work and report if there is an imminent danger or concern for health impairment. Based on the self-regulatory prevention system, Hanmi Pharmaceutical plans to continuously strengthen risk factor management capabilities at each business site to foster a safe working environment.

Company-wide Safety Diagnostics Implementation

Hanmi Pharmaceutical conducts semi-annual third-party safety diagnostics by external specialized institutions and headquarters-led safety diagnostics. Risks identified through these inspections are categorized into critical risks, warnings, and improvement recommendations, with measures implemented according to priority by grade.

Mid-to-long-term Full Survey Status and Replacement Plan for Aging Facilities

To prevent safety incidents such as breakdowns, production stoppages, fires, and explosions due to aging facilities, Hanmi Pharmaceutical has conducted a company-wide comprehensive survey of aging facilities and has been implementing phased facility replacements. As a result, approximately 70% of replacements were completed by 2025, and the company plans to complete approximately 80% by 2026. Furthermore, in 2026, a comprehensive survey of aging facilities will be re-conducted company-wide to comprehensively inspect facility conditions and establish action plans, thereby continuously strengthening facility reliability and safety.

Prior to the headquarters-led inspection in the second half of the year, Hanmi Pharmaceutical conducts a preliminary awareness survey through questionnaires, and during on-site visits, directly listens to employees' voices and necessary improvements for safety and health through interviews, thereby promoting continuous improvements.

Industrial Safety and Health Committee

Hanmi Pharmaceutical, Hanmi Fine Chemical, and Beijing Hanmi Pharmaceutical hold quarterly Industrial Safety and Health Committee meetings to discuss the direction and key policies of safety and health management. Through this, safety and health policies, plans, and regulations are deliberated and resolved, operating a consultative body where workers and management jointly participate to exchange practical opinions.

Hanmi Pharmaceutical designates the week including April 28th annually as 'Safety and Health Day' to strengthen its employees' safety and health culture. Diversification of Safety and Health Education

Hanmi Pharmaceutical continuously provides safety and health education for all employees, and since the enforcement of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, has strengthened and managed re-education for those who have not completed the training. In addition, special management training is provided monthly to partner companies, and regular external training is conducted concurrently to enhance the expertise of safety and health managers. In 2025, on-site response capabilities were strengthened through education focused on accident cases and risk assessments, and in 2026, the company plans to further enhance the effectiveness of education and proactive prevention capabilities by expanding specialized departmental training that reflects the results of awareness surveys.

Accident Case-Based Safety and Health Education

Hanmi Pharmaceutical operates accident case-based safety and health education for supervisors to enhance the on-site applicability of workplace safety and health management. By sharing key risk factors centered on in-house accident cases and strengthening understanding of core management matters such as the roles and responsibilities of supervisors, management of qualified contractors, and risk assessments, the company supports responsible decision-making and execution by supervisors and ensures that a proactive prevention-focused safety and health management system is stably established across all operations.

Education on correct wearing methods through personal protective equipment (PPE) fit testing

Hanmi Pharmaceutical operates a personal protective equipment (PPE) fit testing program to prevent occupational diseases by ensuring all employees who wear PPE use it correctly and by providing PPE suitable for their work environment. Starting in 2023, the company introduced PPE fit testing for employees wearing half-face and full-face respiratory protective equipment. From 2025, it will further strengthen its hearing conservation program by introducing hearing protector fit testers to precisely measure the attenuation of earplugs and earmuffs and educate on correct wearing methods.

Health-Friendly Company Certification

Hanmi Pharmaceutical officially received recognition for its health-friendly management level by acquiring the Health-Friendly Company Certification in 2025, organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Promotion Institute. This certification is a nationally verified outcome of the company's continuous efforts in health-friendly management, creation of a health-friendly organizational culture, and operation of various employee health promotion programs. It is a significant achievement that demonstrates Hanmi Pharmaceutical's sustainable management philosophy of striving to create a safer and healthier working environment for its employees.

Smoking Cessation Success Program

Hanmi Pharmaceutical actively operates a smoking cessation success program to promote the health of its employees. To enhance the success rate, the company collaborates with hospitals and clinics to support smokers in completing smoking cessation treatments, and in the final stage, verifies the achievement of cessation through testing. The program's scope has been expanded to allow not only smoking employees but also their families to participate, thereby providing more practical support for smoking cessation.

Operation of In-house Health Management Center

Hanmi Pharmaceutical's Health Management Center is equipped with various facilities and equipment to manage the health of its employees. The center provides InBody analyzers, scales, foot massagers, breast pumps, and other amenities for employees' free use. It also offers a space for fatigue recovery and health promotion, along with health consultations and emergency first aid support when needed. Through these efforts, the company supports employees in working in a more comfortable and healthy environment.

Employee Health Management

Hanmi Pharmaceutical operates regular health check-ups that consider the age and life cycle of its employees. By identifying health conditions early and linking post-examination management and health consultations based on the results, the company actively supports disease prevention and health promotion. Based on these systematic health management activities, Hanmi Pharmaceutical strives to create a healthy workplace where employees can work in an even healthier and more pleasant environment.

Work-Related Stress Management

Hanmi Pharmaceutical operates a systematic work-related stress management system to prevent health impairments caused by employees' mental stress and to create a healthier working environment. Employees can check their stress levels through in-house programs, and a systematic management process is in place to support up to six psychological counseling sessions annually through external professional counseling agencies when needed.
